Every December, members, friends, and distinguished guests of VFW Post 1 come together to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of The First Post and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in 1899 in Denver, Colorado. The evening honors the founders, the VFW, Veterans of all conflicts, individuals, organizations and the community that supports Post 1 and all Veterans.
