The Founders Banquet commemorates the anniversary of the founding of the Post 1 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in 1899. This annual sell-out event honors the Founders, the VFW, Veterans of all conflicts, Individuals, Organizations and the Community that supports Post 1 and all Veterans. This event offers a unique opportunity to not only sponsor a historic Veterans organization, but also an event that enters its 118th celebration in 2017. The Founders Banquet attendees include key leadership representing Veterans to Civilians and Corporate Stakeholders across the Denver Metro Community.
Each year Post 1 celebrates the accomplishments of all and recognizes Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) and community partners for their contribution to the Veteran Community. At the same time, we acknowledge the energy of younger members and honor their contributions to the community. Award categories include: Aeronautical/Astronautical Achievement of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and Veteran Organization of the Year.
